The Pakistani National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser does not support the decision to reject the non-confidence movement towards the Government of Imran Khan based on Article 5 of the Constitution.

 

According to a report by the Pakistani news website, the news, the speaker tried his best to convince the Imran Khan law team. But when consensus cannot be contacted, Qaiser does not go to the National Assembly on Sunday.

 

The development had come after the lawyer of the Pakistani prosecutor Khalid Javed told the leading news channel Geo news that the vote was mandatory in the movement of not confidence in the Prime Minister in accordance with the Constitution. It has been studied that the Legal Team of Imran Khan drafted the commands read by the Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri in the National Assembly on Sunday.

 

“This self-confidence motion is contrary to the constitution. I override the motion of not believing this in accordance with the Constitution,” said Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri. Immediately after the non-confidence movement was rejected, Imran Khan during the address broadcast by the State announced that he had suggested President Arif Alvi to dissolve the National Assembly and the election would be held within three months.

 

The President dissolved the Assembly, raised a strong protest from the opposition who challenged the decision at the Supreme Court. PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif accused Imran Khan to violate the constitution and force civil military law in the country.

 

The chairman of the Adade of Judges said that all orders and actions initiated by the Prime Minister and President regarding the dissolution of the National Assembly would submit to the court order.

In Pakistani political history, only two main ministers of Benazir Bhutto and Shaukat Aziz face a movement not confident in parliament. No PM who had completed a full term since Pakistan appeared.
