Cole Sprouse, known for his role in “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” recently recounted a memorable incident involving himself, his brother Dylan, and Hollywood star Matt Damon during the filming of their show.
In the popular American teen sitcom, the Sprouse twins portrayed the characters of Cody Martin and Zack Martin.
During an appearance on SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa, the now 31-year-old actor shared the story. He reminisced about their teenage obsession with the World of Warcraft video game and their disdain for any interruptions while immersed in it. On one occasion, a production assistant informed them that Matt Damon would be visiting with his children, who were fans of the show.
Cole recalled the moment vividly, stating, “I remember Dylan and I turning to each other and just going, ‘Ugh. I can’t believe we have to get off of World of Warcraft right now.’” When Damon arrived, accompanied by a crowd of crew members eager to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood star, the twins remained focused on their screens. Cole described their interaction with Damon as brief and somewhat indifferent, as they quickly returned to their game.
Reflecting on the incident, Cole expressed a mixture of amusement and fondness. Despite acknowledging that they should have been more polite to the Oscar-winning actor, he appreciated the simplicity of their childhood mindset, unaffected by the fame surrounding them.
“I love it because it, you know, the whole ethos of whatever that was around us didn’t really affect us. We were just being kids and playing video games,” Cole remarked, revealing his affection for the carefree innocence of that time.
