Billie Eilish, who recently engaged in discussions about adding over 100 million of her followers in a close friend story, has given fans something to rejoice about. This story was seen as a strategic move and perhaps a subtle hint about the singer’s forthcoming album.
The 22-year-old songstress unveiled her long-awaited album, ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft,’ on April 8, 2024.
Accompanying a cover image from the album, Eilish penned a caption in her Instagram post.
Expressing her excitement, the “Bad Guy” crooner wrote, “It’s surreal to be sharing this moment right now, I’m nervous and thrilled.”
She also disclosed the release date for her upcoming album, slated for May 17, 2024.
The album cover depicts her submerged underwater, barefoot, clad in a dark blue dress, with an expression and posture suggesting a reluctance to be rescued. Interestingly, a wooden door is visible, hinting at a narrative where Billie may have fallen from it into the water.
Billie, alongside her brother Finneas O’Connell, clinched the Academy Award for Best Original Song this year for Barbie’s ‘What Was I Made For?’ This marked the singer’s second Oscar win, having previously secured the prestigious award for ‘No Time to Die,’ the theme song for the James Bond film of the same name.
Moreover, Eilish has shown a commitment to sustainability with her album announcement. On the sustainability section of her website, comprehensive details are provided regarding eco-friendly practices for the album’s physical products, spanning from vinyl and CDs to merchandise.
