Chance Perdomo, aged 27 at the time of his passing, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident, as confirmed by his associates to The Hollywood Reporter.
Expressing deep sorrow over his untimely demise, Perdomo’s representative, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, paid tribute, saying:
“Everyone acquainted with him could sense his profound affection for the arts and his lively zest for life. His warmth will continue to reside in the hearts of those nearest to him.” We kindly request respect for the family’s privacy as they navigate through this painful loss of their beloved son and brother.”
Perdomo, who graduated from the National Youth Theatre and Identity School of Acting, made his first appearance on screen in the short film “Onfield Drive” in 2016. However, it was his portrayal of Ambrose Spellman, the cousin of the titular character in the Netflix series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” that brought him widespread recognition.
His final screen appearance was in “Gen V,” an Amazon Prime Video spinoff of “The Boys,” where he portrayed Andre Anderson, a student at Godolkin University endowed with magical and magnetic abilities.
The producers of “Gen V” expressed their profound grief in a statement, remembering Perdomo as a radiant and talented individual:
“We are struggling to come to terms with this loss. For those who knew and worked with him, Chance was always a beacon of charm and positivity, an incredibly gifted performer, and above all, a kind and wonderful person. It feels surreal to speak of him in the past tense. Our hearts ache for Chance’s family, and we mourn the loss of our dear friend and colleague. Hold your loved ones close tonight.”
Additionally, Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, co-producers of “Gen V,” issued a separate statement extending their condolences:
“The entire ‘Gen V’ family is deeply saddened by the unexpected loss of Chance Perdomo.” Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television offer our deepest thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who cherished him during this difficult time.”
