Dragon’s Dogma 2 Demo Release on PC: What Fans Can ExpectDragon’s Dogma 2 Demo Release on PC: What Fans Can Expect

Capcom, the renowned Japanese video game company, appears to be gearing up for the release of a demo for Dragon’s Dogma 2 on PC, based on recent back-end updates on Steam. Initial observations by Reddit user CannedBeanofDeath indicate alterations to the game’s listings on Steam, notably featuring a “free on demand” tag commonly associated with software that is free to play. Such a tag is typically seen on free-to-play titles, free games, or demos for specific titles.

Speculation suggests that users may soon have access to a free demo of the upcoming action role-playing game, slated to become available on March 22 for $69.99. This move wouldn’t be unprecedented for Capcom, known for releasing free demo versions of its games in the past. Given Dragon’s Dogma 2’s expansive map, this demo could serve as a tantalizing preview. Capcom has a history of concealing secrets within demos; for instance, the remake of Resident Evil 4 featured a hidden “mad chainsaw” difficulty mode accessible via a cheat code within its playable demo. Fans are therefore anticipating similar surprises within the Dragon’s Dogma 2 demo.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 stands out as one of the most eagerly awaited games of 2024. Moreover, it marks Capcom’s first game priced at $69.99, a figure notably higher than its previous titles. This pricing may become the new norm, as Capcom has indicated plans to review video game prices in response to rising development costs.

The game is set for release on March 22 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X platforms. Reports also confirm that the game will feature an uncapped frame rate, particularly beneficial for PC users. Additionally, it will support NVIDIA DLSS 3 (Frame Generation) on PC, further enhancing the gaming experience.
