Erin Moriarty Takes Social Media Exit Amidst Controversial Cosmetic Surgery Accusations

Erin Moriarty, known for her role in Amazon Prime’s The Boys, has revealed her decision to step away from social media. The choice stems from disturbing allegations of “cosmetic surgery addictions” made by former Fox News personality Megyn Kelly.

During a segment on January 17, Kelly, alongside The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles, discussed plastic surgery as a “social illness.” In the course of the episode, Erin Moriarty was highlighted as an example of someone purportedly grappling with an addiction to cosmetic procedures. Kelly showcased a recent photograph of Moriarty, describing her as a “nice, beautiful, and natural gal.” In a surprising twist, another photo of Moriarty was presented, emphasizing a noticeable difference.

Commenting on the image comparison in her podcast, Kelly remarked, “I thought, ‘is this an AI-generated face’… but apparently it’s real.”

In response to these accusations, Moriarty took to Instagram, posting a two-slide statement. She expressed her dismay, stating, “We’re all subject to levels of bullying throughout our lives but I am horrified, and I felt that I deserved to take a second to address these things.” Moriarty revealed her shock upon receiving a message about Kelly’s video and condemned it as “disgustingly false” and “ironically misogynistic.”

Continuing her series of Instagram posts, Moriarty further criticized Kelly’s podcast, labeling it a “primary example” of harassment that deeply affected her. In a significant move, Moriarty announced her decision to permanently disconnect from social media, citing it as a platform for connecting with fans, endorsing brands, and sharing updates. She expressed a desire to redirect her energy towards her work.
