Air Force Military Transport Plane India – C-17 Globemaster – Depart to Romania at 4 am Wednesday to bring Indians from Ukraine under the operation of the Ganga Mammoth rescue program. The plane departed from the base – Hindan Air Force Station – near Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Previous today pressed the Indian Air Force into the service to evacuate Indian citizens stranded in a torn country war.

 

The IAF aircraft will also help provide humanitarian assistance more efficiently for Ukraine, which is shaken by lack of food, fuel, medical supplies, and other important items amid the Russian invasion.

India has increased efforts to save its citizens who were stranded in Ukraine when Russia continued to bomb and jang her neighbors.

Under Operation Ganga, India has flown aircraft to Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Romania – Countries on the Western border of Ukraine – after Ukraine closes airspace to civil crafts in the midst of military and strategic strikes.

 

The first evacuation flight under “Operation Ganga” arrived in Mumbai from Bucharest on Saturday with 219 Indians. So far, six flights have returned with students.

The center on Monday announced that the union ministers would travel to Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia – the four countries shared the border with Ukraine – to coordinate the evacuation of India stranded.

Union Minister of Hardeep Singh Puri, Dr. Jitendra Singh and Virendra Kumar Khatik headed to Hungary, Jyotiraditya Scindia had gone to Romania, Kiren Rijju was on his way to Slovakia, VK Singh, Irani, and Rajeev Chandraskar had been sent to Poland as a special Indian messenger Help evacuate.

The Indian Embassy in Kyiv has published an advisor for all the Indians who were stranded, told them about a decent and safe route from Kyiv and Kharkiv, sharing the details of the bomb shelter, and established a Round Helpline for India.

PM Modi, at a meeting of two hours on Sundays to take stock situations in Ukraine, has confirmed that the government’s top priority is ensuring the safety of Indian students and their evacuation.

While 1,396 Indian citizens have been brought back from Ukraine on six evacuation flights, many are heading to the rescue location designated by walking, in sub-zero temperatures.

Globemasters C-17 Americans are one of the most capable planes to fly long distances with almost 400 on the board. The C-17 transport aircraft helped evacuate residents and officials from Kabul when the Taliban arrested Afghanistan.
