The Flight Attendant, starring Kaley Cuoco, will not be making a return for a third season. The series, which aired its first two seasons on Max and concluded in May 2022, is an American dark comedy developed by Steve Yockey based on the eponymous book by Chris Bohjalian.

The show premiered its first season on HBO Max on November 26, 2020, and received a renewal for a second season in December 2020. However, despite its previous success, the decision has been made to cancel the series, meaning there will not be a third season. The ensemble cast features Kaley Cuoco, along with Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz, and Rosie Perez. Production is handled by Warner Bros Television, Cuoco’s Yes, Norman Productions, and Berlanti Productions.

In the initial season, the storyline follows Kaley Cuoco’s character, Cassie Bowden, a flight attendant with a penchant for reckless behavior and alcohol. After engaging in an affair with a first-class passenger in Bangkok, Cassie wakes up beside his lifeless body with a slashed throat. Fearing the consequences, she cleans up the crime scene and avoids contacting the police. As the FBI investigates her Bangkok layover, Cassie becomes perplexed about the identity of the murderer.

The second season unfolds a year after the murder, with Cassie now working as a part-time CIA agent and relocating to Los Angeles in pursuit of a fresh start. However, she finds herself entangled in another mysterious event.

Kaley Cuoco shared her thoughts on the conclusion of the series, telling People, “The plane had landed,” and underscoring that it felt like an unexpected ending. She noted, “What initially started as a captivating book cover turned into an extraordinary journey of a lifetime. I always saw TFA as a limited series, and with the help of an amazing creative team, we were able to present two exhilarating seasons.” Cuoco wrapped up by expressing appreciation for the chance to portray Cassie, labeling it a dream realized, and extending thanks to everyone who played a role in bringing this unique series to fruition.
