Kate Middleton's Windsor Castle Exit Amidst Family Photo Controversy

Kate Middleton, also known as Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, was seen leaving Windsor Castle alongside Prince William on Monday, amidst a period of tension within the royal family. This sighting came shortly after she issued an apology for altering a family photo that had gone viral.

On Sunday, Kate Middleton shared a picture on her social media platform where she had made edits to a Mother’s Day photograph featuring her children: George, Charlotte, and Louis, all sporting smiles. In her post, she acknowledged the situation, stating,

Following this, she expressed regret the next day, clarifying that the image had been manipulated. The Duchess of Cambridge stated,

Photographs captured the couple departing from Windsor Castle in their car. While Prince William attended the Commonwealth Day service alone, reports suggested that the Duchess had a “personal engagement” to attend to.

Since Christmas last year, Kate Middleton had not been seen in public. Concerns had arisen earlier this year when she underwent abdominal surgery, leading to speculation about her absence.

With her recent appearance alongside Prince William, there is anticipation regarding her return to official royal duties. Following her surgery in January, it was indicated that she would not resume these duties until after Easter.

In a statement released by Kensington Palace in January 2024,

The surgery was successful, and it is anticipated that she will remain hospitalized for a period of ten to fourteen days before continuing her recovery at home. Based on current medical advice, it is unlikely that she will undertake public engagements until after the Easter period.
