Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Supremo Then Prasad Yadav was punished in the case of embezzlement of Doranda Treasury by the Special Investigation Center (CBI) Bureau in Ranchi on Tuesday.

He was found guilty of illegal withdrawal worth ₹ 139.5 Crore from Treasury Doranda. This is a fifth and final case like that in the fraud of hattle feed, former Minister of Bihar and Minister of Bihar, has been named.

The trial for the quantum announcement of the punishment for YADAV was scheduled for February 21.

What is the Doranda treasury case?

This case is part of the Scam Fodder Crore ₹ 950 related to the withdrawal of public funds from the government treasury in various Bihar regencies that are not divided.

This problem was first excavated at the time of Deputy Commissioner Chaibasa Amit Khare at the Department of Animal Husbandry in January 1996. This post, the CBI registered 53 separate cases in the same year.

From these cases, the Doranda Treasury case was the biggest because it had the largest number of accused and the highest amount of defalagution, Hindustan Times reported on Tuesday.

In June 1997, Yadav was crowned as accused of this case for the first time in the CBI cost sheet. Following the charging sheet and increasing pressure from opposition parties, he resigned as head of Bihar minister. He placed his wife, Rabri Devi, who was responsible for the top position.

What are the other four cases?

The CBI court specifically began the trial in the case of animal feed fraud in February 2002. Yadav’s first confidence came in September 2013 in the case of Treasury Chaibasa related to cheating withdrawal ₹ 37.70 Crore. He was sentenced to five years in prison but was given a guarantee by the Supreme Court of the Year.

In December 2017, Yadav was punished in the second fraud related to the withdrawal of the fraud of Rp170,000 lakh from Deoghar Treasury and was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. He was given a guarantee on July 202 after finishing half of this sentence.

In January 2018, the confidence of the three veteran politicians came in the Chaibasa Treasury case related to cheating withdrawal of ₹ 33.13 Crore. He was awarded five years in prison.

Two months later, in March 2018, Yadav was crowned guilty in the Dumka Treasury case related to cheating withdrawal of ₹ 3.76 Crore from December 1995 to January 1996. In addition to the granting of a 14-year prison sentence, the CBI Special Court also slapped the fine of ₹ 60 lakh on Supremo RJD.

How many accused are there apart from Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Doranda treasury case?

A total of 170 people were crowned as accused of this case. Of these, 55 has died, seven has become a government witness, six absconding and two accused charges against them. Ninety-nine defendants, including Yadav, were left against who the CBI court specifically gave a verdict on Tuesday.
