On Thursday, May 2, 2024, the renowned Korean actor Lee Seo Han caused a stir by sharing a video on his Instagram account accompanied by the caption “Breaking News.” The video depicted a couple engaged in intimate activity on a couch. Although the actor removed the video after an hour, it sparked controversy, with numerous social media users criticizing his decision to publicize what appeared to be private moments.

While some netizens condemned Lee Seo Han for his inappropriate post, others noticed that the setting of the video was Bang Ye Dam’s studio.

In the face of mounting criticism, Lee Seo Han promptly removed the video and issued an apology via an Instagram story addressed to singer Bang Ye Dam and the online community.

However, the criticism persisted, with detractors labeling his actions as “unacceptable behavior.” Moreover, some users raised concerns about the possibility of the video being unlawfully recorded.

Subsequently, on Friday, May 3, 2024, Lee Seo Han issued a comprehensive apology, characterizing the video as a jest among friends. His apology statement read:

“Regarding the video posted yesterday, it was intended as a joke among friends. I sincerely apologize to both Ye Dam and his supporters for the fact that the video was filmed in Ye Dam’s studio. I urge everyone to refrain from making baseless assumptions and misconceptions about the video going forward. I apologize to those who were troubled by watching the video, and I pledge to exercise greater caution in the future.”

Despite Han’s apology, many users remained unsatisfied with his explanation. One Instagram user commented:

“The news article states the video depicted a man and a woman… How can this be construed as a joke between men? Does this imply the involvement of a man dressed as a woman?”

In terms of his professional endeavors, Lee Seo Han, aged 29 as of 2024, gained prominence through his roles in various drama series, most notably “When the Weather is Fine.”
