Netflix has just officially announced that they are working on film adaptations from the Bioshock Franchise video game with Vertigo Entertainment and 2K, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.
Rumors have circled for some time in Netflix to get his hand on bioshock adaptation with drift series and films.
Previously in 2022, the copyright registered with the attached Netflix showed the announcement may be close and now Netflix has confirmed it works on Bioshock to what is on Netflix and select trade. Outside the facts they are developing films, the details of the adaptation are slim.
There is no director or author that has been attached to the project as part of this initial announcement.
There was rumors that Guillermo del Toro or Duffer brothers (all of which worked with Netflix under the overall agreement) would trace the project but now, it was purely speculation.
Vertigo Entertainment will be the main production company behind the film. They have been behind such films, Lego films, and revenge.
For Netflix, Vertigo Entertainment has worked on records of death and extinction with future projects as a mother starring Jennifer Lopez because of 2022, The Witch Boy and Reborn which is a co-production with Fortis films.
What is Bioshock?

First released in 2007, Bioshock was a critically recognized video video series led by Ken Levine. This game is located in an underwater city named Rapture. Sequel was released in 2010 which lasted 8 years after the first match event.
Bioshock Infinite was later released in 2013 which took place in a drastically different location in a flight city.
Netflix isn’t the first to tackle a Bioshock Adaptation
A script for the film Bioshock has been circulating for some time with a universal image once after the time of developing a film with Gore Verbinski (Rango, Pirates of the Caribbean) directed the project. It was canned in 2009 about eight weeks before the production will begin.
Back in March 2020, Scott Wampler from the film born in death managed to read the script and reflected why it was not made at that time.
Bioshock is just one of a number of Netflix projects that adapted the founded video franchise. Netflix’s main main adaptation is currently being worked on including Assassins Creed, Splinter Cell, Tomb Raider, and other Pokemon projects.
