Tanika Ray, former ‘Extra’ personality and one-time backup dancer for Sean “Diddy” Combs, took to Instagram on March 27 to recount a negative encounter she had with the rapper. Despite not delving into specifics, the 52-year-old Ray indicated that her experiences had prompted her to distance herself from Diddy.
It’s worth noting that Diddy, 54, has faced ongoing media scrutiny due to multiple allegations of sexual assault. However, the media mogul vehemently denies these accusations, dismissing them as entirely unfounded.
Most recently, on March 25, agents from the US Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) executed search warrants on Diddy’s properties in Los Angeles and Miami in connection with sex trafficking claims.
Ray shared her encounter with Diddy amidst the backdrop of these controversies. Accompanying a video, she penned a caption on Instagram, detailing her experience.
In the clip, former MSNBC host Touré discussed a family member’s interaction with Diddy. During an interview with Joy Reid on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” Touré recounted his relationship with the rapper, noting:
‘I know this man well enough to call him and say ‘Hey, I need a favor.’ This might have been 10 or 12 years ago that I called him and said ‘Hey, I have a family member who I want you to hire as an intern.’ And he said, ‘Yes.’’
However, the internship abruptly ended after only a few months, leaving Touré puzzled about the reason. Years later, Touré’s relative revealed that Diddy had made inappropriate advances, stating, “‘Come home. Stay the night with me or the internship is over.'”
Upon declining Diddy’s offer, the relative’s internship promptly came to an end.
