Taylor Swift Raves About Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt's Epic 'SNL' Monologue

Amidst the widespread acclaim for Ryan Gosling’s portrayal of Ken, Taylor Swift has also garnered praise.

During the recent episode of Saturday Night Live, Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt shared the stage for a monologue. The enduring conflict between Barbie and Oppenheimer took center stage in this SNL installment.

Of significance, Gosling and Blunt are set to co-star in the forthcoming action comedy ‘The Fall Guy.’ Initially, Gosling expressed his reluctance to discuss his iconic role as Ken any further. However, he swiftly reversed his decision.

While seated at the piano, Gosling acknowledged the therapeutic power of Taylor Swift’s music, remarking,

“When you’ve invested a significant amount of time and emotion into a character, saying goodbye can feel like ending a relationship. And for navigating a breakup, there’s only one remedy: the music of the incomparable Taylor Swift.”

He proceeded to sing,

“I cruised down Venice Beach, it’s true. Tight clothes, but that spandex felt just right. Left my rollerblades behind at the big pink house, but this fur coat? Still got it, and I’m wearing it now.”

Concluding his song, he reflected,

“I used to be Ken, now I’m just Ryan.”

In contrast, Blunt urged Gosling to release his attachment to Ken and move on. She remarked,

“Ken is a thing of the past.”

While expressing her exasperation, she also indulged in a moment of nostalgia, singing about her character from the Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer:

“Father of the atom bomb and a bottle of jack. Once, I was the wife drowning in alcohol, with a man in a hat.”

In response, Taylor Swift lauded the monologue on social media. Sharing the Saturday Night Live clip, she tweeted,
