A day following the submission of divorce papers by Bryan Abasolo, the estranged husband of former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay, Justin Sylvester, her friend and E! News cohost, shared insights into her current state. During an appearance on Today with Jenna and Hoda on January 3, Sylvester conveyed that Rachel is navigating through each day, adopting a survival mindset. He emphasized that the healing process would require time. Notably, Rachel has taken the step of removing Abasolo from her name on Instagram, and according to Justin, she is expected to release a statement regarding the ongoing divorce proceedings in the near future.

Bryan disclosed the details of their decision to divorce on his Instagram stories on the same day he filed the paperwork. In a post on January 2, he shared, “Many of you know me as a chiropractor and also as a husband, my proudest role so far. Sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go.”

Reacting to Bryan’s Instagram story, Justin expressed his surprise, deeming it “weird” given Rachel’s generally private stance on her personal life. He urged the public to respect Rachel’s need for privacy, assuring that she would address the matter when she felt ready to do so.

According to reports, the divorce documents specify the official separation date as December 31, 2023, with Bryan requesting spousal support. However, the exact amount remains undisclosed. Abasolo also aims to prevent the court from awarding spousal support to Lindsay.

The divorce announcement comes just two months after Lindsay shared with E! News that the couple was actively trying to conceive. The reasons behind the divorce remain undisclosed, though the documents cite “irreconcilable differences” as the grounds for their separation.
