The fervor surrounding Ryan Gosling’s captivating performance in ‘I’m Just Ken’ at the Oscars shows no sign of abating, and he’s delighted his fans yet again with some exciting news.
Teaming up with Apple Original Films executive Jessie Henderson, Ryan Gosling has launched a new production banner named General Admission. But that’s not all – there’s another surprise in store. The dynamic duo has inked a three-year first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios, granting the studio rights to all first-look narrative features across various content, some of which will star Gosling himself.
Meanwhile, General Admission, the fresh venture, is set to collaborate with filmmakers to produce both theatrical and streaming content spanning all genres.
The 43-year-old actor, who boasts three Academy Award nominations to his name, including a recent nod for Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie,” has also earned Oscar recognition for his remarkable performances in “La La Land” and “Half Nelson.”
Gosling is already deeply involved as a producer and actor in the upcoming David Leitch film titled “The Fall Guy.” Furthermore, he’s set to produce and star in Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s adaptation of Andy Weir’s best-selling book, “Project Hail Mary.”
In an interview with Variety, Gosling expressed his gratitude towards his partners in this new venture, particularly praising Jessie Henderson and Courtenay Valenti, saying,
“I feel incredibly fortunate to have partners like Jessie Henderson and Courtenay Valenti in this endeavor.”
It’s worth noting that Gosling previously collaborated with Courtenay Valenti, now the head of Amazon MGM Studios, on “Barbie” when she was with Warner Bros.
Gosling also couldn’t contain his admiration for Henderson, expressing,
“The opportunity to work alongside Jessie Henderson in General Admission is truly invaluable. I’m a huge admirer of Jessie’s work and the projects she’s been involved with.”
